An entertaining new literary lecture: Men, Glorious Men – Three Men
Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November 2019
When three young men and a dog decide to take a boating holiday, the result is one of the funniest novels ever written.
Revel in the comedy of this classic novel as together we drift down the Thames.
Have you ever struggled to put up a tent (or perhaps assemble a piece of IKEA furniture)?
Have you ever had a guide desperate to show you something you don’t actually want to see?
Or have you googled a list of medical symptoms only to discover you are afflicted with many deadly diseases?
If so, you will relate to the predicaments of these three sporty young men.
“What readers ask nowadays in a book is that it should improve, instruct and elevate. This book wouldn’t elevate a cow. I cannot conscientiously recommend it for any useful purposes whatever.”
― Jerome K. Jerome
Thousands have wanted to emulate their adventure. After my talk will you be one of them too?

At this new and interesting venue, we’ll have a private, comfortable theatre, a delicious morning tea, and if you stay for lunch in the cafe after the talk, you’ll enjoy fabulous water views.
