Karen Blixen Museum, Rungstedlund

Escape with me to Scandinavia where we will visit a special writer’s house not too far from Copenhagen in Denmark.

Rungstedlund is also known as the Karen Blixen Museum. This country house in Rungsted on the Øresund coast just north of Copenhagen, is notable for its association with Blixen, who lived there for most of her life. She was born on the estate in 1885 and returned there after her years in Kenya, chronicled in her 1937 book Out of Africa, to do most of her writing, and finally, she is buried there too.
